We are making progress! Monday the 18th was the first day for our two new San Pedro Store employees! Yay🤣 for Jefferson and Alice!
   Jefferson introduced us to a church here on the island called Sagebrush, which is being held in the theatre (1 of Belize's 2!!). We have been going there for the past couple weeks and it is great. He is very good with people and likes to socialize, which is great for in the store.
   Alice is VERY kitchen savy and is not afraid to try new things, which is a necessity when working with Shoots Alive. So far, they are doing well, and we can't wait to train the furthered to take over the store!

Sorry, I haven't had much time to post recipes, but trust me. With this store, we are coming up with a LOT of recipes, so eventually I will try to post them. What I have been doing is learning a bit of Macrame from Pinterest to make hanging planted for outside the store. (Macrame is basically just the art of knotting)
 My handy dandy boat tie anchors are very helpful for Macrame.




On Saturday, Dad and Jeremiah (one of our very close friends) came out to spend the weekend here with us. Together, we all had the opportunity to go on a snorkelling tour for our first times! It was amazing, we got to see lots of coral (as you may not know, Belize has the 2nd largest barrier reef in the world, next to Australia) and fish of all sizes as well as a very creepy looking green eel. After snorkeling around the reef and the Hol Chan (Reef Chanel) we took a 10 minute boat to....Shark. Ray. Alley. Dundundun.....
We threw the Nurse sharks some watermelon rinds, which they enjoyed, I think. Then we just hopped right into the water and...they swam away. We snorkeled around there for a bit and saw some sting rays and a couple nurse sharks.

Yep, i drove for the first time....please, don't pass out from shock. Are you good? Ok, I'll continue. Don't worry, we didn't pass any police officers, thankfully.

So yeah, everything is well in our neck of  the woods! Hopefully all of you are good!

So since you last heard, Tyler has departed from yet another great visit and we were sad to see him go. We made lots of great memories in his 2 weeks here, though. *Snokeling (photos in my last post) *A couple trips (or 3 or 6!) to Secret Beach to have fun in the water and get a nice sun burn. *Biking and carting around town *Making coconut lentil curry with him (yes, we consider that a memory!) London Fog

Surprisingly enough, Belize does get some cool (low 70Fs!) spells, and this morning happens to be one of those times. What else helps to bring up your body temperature but a steaming hot.....London Fog! This recipe uses the traditional Earl Grey Tea, but with some added mint leaves to give just the right flavour, as well as some other (not so secret) ingredients to add to the frothiness!

Up on the Hill

For those of you who don't know, we do own land here in Belize. We started the cement pad for our future house up 'On the Hill' about 2 years ago, and finally, finally, it will be finished! Keaton, Dad and the 4 guys who will be finishing the foundation are up on the hill today putting the rebar into the foundation and getting water pumped from the 375ft. deep well all the way to the top of the property. God is GOOD, all the time, and ALL the time, God is good. Hopefully, if all goes as planned, we will be pouring the floor on Monday! Yay! So, what better to do when you have a bunch of guys working than make them....Cinnamon Rolls! Mmmmmm....I won't be posting the specific recipe, just some pictures...to make your mouth water!   Come to think of it, we should have used THIS mixer to make the Cinnamon Rolls!!!!
